Dumpit ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Dumpit mobile application ("App") and our website.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account Information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier and, optionally, your name and email address (which Apple may relay or anonymize). We store your username, display name, and subscription status.
Photos & Media. Photos you capture or import are uploaded to our secure cloud storage (Supabase Storage) when you save them to an album or your camera roll history. Photos are tied to your user ID or guest ID.
Event & Album Data. When you create or join an event album, we store the event details (name, dates, reveal settings) and your membership in that album.
Guest Data. If you join an album without an account, a guest ID (UUID) is generated on your device and stored locally. Your display name and photos are associated with this guest ID. Guest data expires 30 days after the event ends unless you create an account.
AI Features. When you use the Copy Look feature, a copy of the reference photo is sent to our backend for analysis. We do not retain this image after the analysis is complete.
Usage Data. We collect anonymized analytics data such as which features are used, app crashes, and general performance metrics to improve the App.
Push Notification Token. If you grant notification permissions, your device push token is stored to send you event reminders and photo reveal alerts.

Album photos are visible to other members of the same event album. You control who receives your QR code and therefore who can join your album.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Guest data is automatically deleted 30 days after an event ends unless you convert to a registered account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete that information.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on our database, and access controls on cloud storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@dumpitapp.com.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
